Tinto Hotel has been a meeting place for over 100 years and as such we may have events and exhibitions which are open to the general public. If we do, you can be assured they will have pride of place on this page here.

Join us for a delicious Christmas Day Lunch and take all the stress out of having to cook and clean.

Spaces available at 1 pm and 3 pm

Don't miss out on your preferred seating time, book now to avoid disappointment.

£49 per adult, £20 per child aged 5-15, under 5's free

£10 per person deposit at the time of booking, balance due by the 15th November. Full payment at the time of boooking for bookings made after the 15th November.

Starters

Slow roast plum tomato and roast red pepper soup (vegan, gf)

Oak smoked Shetland salmon, balsamic glazed beetroot, celeriac remoulade, water cress

Pressed corn fed chicken, guinea fowl and duck breast terrine, braised red cabbage with apple and raisins, toasted brioche

Mains

Pot roast turkey breast, pork stuffing, pigs in blankets, red wine and port reduction

Steamed fillet of salmon, Cullen cream

Confit duck leg, shallot, thyme and wild mushroom tart

Roast butternut squash with braised rice and micro herb salad (vegan)

Desserts

Selection of cheeses, grapes, onion chutney and biscuits

Xmas pudding, brandy and cinnamon custard, apple compote

Dark chocolate cheesecake, berry compote, Taylors of Biggar raspberry ripple ice cream

Bring he New Year in, in style, enjoy a glass of chilled Champagne & canapes on arrival, 3-course gala dinner, live entertainment from Scotia Ceilidh band.

Starts 7 pm carriages at 1 am.

£60 per adult.

Hogmanay Children's menu available at £20 per child aged 5 - 15.

Winter vegetable and lentil soup with kurly kale (v)(gf)

Warm haggis and Arran cheddar tartlet, coarse grain mustard and whisky sauce

“Hot” Smoked Shetland salmon, potato scone, asparagus, poached egg, chive hollandaise

Mains

6 hour braised feather blade of beef,

Parma ham wrapped Pollock fillet, peas, smoked streaky bacon and parsley sauce

Jerusalem artichoke, parmesan and crispy kale risotto (v)

Charred free range chicken breast with a white pudding stuffing and leek stuffing, red wine jus

(Served with thyme glazed fondant potato, maple glazed parsnips and carrots, redcurrant braised red cabbage)

Warm Ecchelfechan tartlet, tablet ice cream
