Lovely hotel with great staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was cooked well. Staff are helpful and friendly. I honestly couldn't find fault and would certainly stay again and recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. During our visit I was taken ill and needed to go to hospital 20 miles away, Kelly the hotel manager and her husband Norman took me there, they would not accept any payment for fuel. We considered this help above and beyond the call of duty, thank you both very much.

April - We would like to thank you for giving us a great weekend, mum and grandma had a great time, they loved the food.... and so did we, thanks for the sausages. We were on our best behaviour and we're allowed to sit in the bar area. We played in your big garden, and we're allowed off our leads because it was a safe area.

December - We have just returned home after a 2 night xmas package at the hotel, and would like to say a Massive thank you for a great time over this period. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never felt so welcome as we did at the Tinto hotel, the staff were so friendly and nothing was any bother and if I had to single any one out it would be Kelly who was fantastic and a great ambassador for the hotel. My only complaint was the food was absolutely delicious and plentyfull and as such we have eaten to much, I would also like to say the entertainment was 1st class and we will definitely be looking to re book in the future.

From the moment of arrival with our friendly and helpful welcome from Lynn on Thursday afternoon until our departure on Saturday we felt totally at home in the Tinto Hotel. Julie on the breakfast staff deserves special mention too: nothing was too much trouble and all requests dealt with a cheery disposition. Your front of house staff are a great asset to your business and are really appreciated by your guests. All staff we encountered were open and friendly and yet maintained a high level of professionalism.

The hotel is very welcoming, and all the staff members exude a friendly, professional image from the moment you arrive. Most of the hotel’s rooms are located on the first floor although three ground floor rooms, one with a walk in shower, are also available.

Tinto House hotel in South Lanarkshire allowing me two days exploring the area. Nestled just under an hour outside both Glasgow and Edinburgh, the gorgeous abode is an easy-to-reach countryside retreat – ideal for escaping city woes for a short break or stay.

a lovely night in the Tinto Hotel – it’s an absolutely perfect spot for accessing loads of wonderful walks (including the Tinto Hill) and is a great base for seeing lots of the sights in this very pretty corner of Scotland. It's only an hour from Dunbar, 40 mins to the Edinburgh park and ride (free), 40 mins from the glorious walk up to Loch Skeen (at the top of Grey Mare's Tail) and a short 30 minute tootle from Moffat, home of the toffee, “miraculous health giving spring” and a number of very pleasant and not too taxing family walks.

This experience as a whole was amazing, I would definitely give it 5/5 for sure. The staff were lovely, the place was beautiful and oh ehm gee the food.... THE FOOD WAS BRILLIANT! If you are ever looking to get away from everyday life for a weekend then I would suggest giving Tinto Hotel a go. They have tribute acts on Saturdays which include your dinner if you get tickets for that, so there is entertainment to throw some fun into the mix. But even if that isn't for you, the hotel offers some amazing views, lovely countryside to walk in and some very VERY comfy beds. I had a great time here, so much so that I am more than positive that we will be booking up to go again after Christmas, probably January at some point for a whole weekend. It was a lovely experience and I hope to one day take my friends for a lovely night of fun, singing, dancing and great food at their tribute night.

I had an amazing stay at the Tinto House Hotel and it only made me want to return in the future, quite possibly for one of their tribute nights as I’ve heard great things about them. It was situated in a beautiful location, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was exceptional and the hotel itself as well as the rooms, provided both comfort and were modernly styled…. I really appreciated getting out of the city for the night…. If I ever need a relaxing little break then Tinto House Hotel is the place for me, with one of the things on my to-do list being to climb Tinto Hill.

Tinto Hotel makes a great place for a short break countryside break. It's an ideal location for those who enjoy walking. The staff at Tinto are friendly and helpful and I really liked the comfortable and relaxed feeling there is around the hotel. There's great range of locally sourced food and produce on the menu, which is all cooked to a high standard. I would definitely return to Tinto Hotel for another short break.

Married at Tinto House Hotel on 12th September 2015. "Had my wedding here last week and all I can say is, amazing! From start to finish the day could not have went better. The meal was 1st class all 3 courses with no complaints from anyone, the hotel is beautiful from ceremony room through to the reception room. I also stayed here the night before my wedding and the room I was given was spotless with tea/coffee making facilities. I really can't thank Brian and his team enough as they were fantastic on the day and also the lead up to my big day Brian the manager was always at the end of an email/phone call if I had any queries. Breakfast the next morning was great with plenty of choice for everyone, just so sad that it's all over but once again big thank you to the Tinto for making my day so special."

Myself and Scott would like to thank you and your staff for making our wedding a fantastic day. We cannot fault anything. Everything was handled professionally, the hotel looked fantastic, the meal was great and you had everything exactly how we wanted. There were doubts months ago obviously with the hotel closing and becoming a wedding venue but I can honestly say now that we benefited yesterday from having the place to ourselves along with our friends and family.

We're very greatful to you for making yesterday run like clockwork and please thank you staff for their help - it will be a very long weekend for them.

We got married in the Tinto Hotel on 5th May 2012. What a day!!! Everything was perfect - the venue, the staff, the food, EVERYTHING. The staff were excellent and did everything they could to make our day perfect, and our wedding co-ordinator Stuart was always available when I had a question or 5! All our friends and family had a great time and not one complaint was heard. I would recommend the Tinto Hotel to anyone.
